Mary McCormack was an American actress best known for her portrayals as the lead character in TV programs like "Murder One", "The West Wing", "In Plain Sight" and Loaded. She is also popular for her roles in movies such as "Private Parts," "Deep Impact', 'True Criminal' and '1408'. McCormack was born into a family that had no connection to entertainment in any way to her family tree, was the daughter of a clinical therapy professional and the owner of an ice cream parlor. After the divorce of her parents, McCormack enrolled to Trinity College Hartford, Connecticut. In the year 1990, following having graduated from Wardlaw-Hartridge School with a BA, she graduated. The path she took to success started at the age of 12 when she was in a stage version of a Christmas opera titled "Amahl and the Night Visitor'. The actress continued to perform in the theatre, and eventually landed roles both on small and the big screen. McCormack is now one of Hollywood's most versatile actors. She has three daughters together with her husband, director/producer Michael Morris.
