Kristen Anne Bell (born 1980) is a famous American performer and actress. Bell is a Michigan native who was born and was raised by her parents Lorelei Frygier (a nurse) and Tom Bell (a TV news director). She is of Polish (mother's) as well as German (father's), English, Irish and Scottish ancestry. Kristen's talents for performing were discovered at a very young age. In 1992, Kristen attended her first audition. She was given the role on Raggedy Ann And Andy. Bell's mother signed her up at an agency prior to when turning 13 years old. She then appeared in television advertisements and newspaper ads. In addition, Bell started taking private acting classes. Bell appeared in Polish Wedding (2000) in 1998 as an uncredited actor. Bell went to Shrine Catholic High School, where she took part in drama and music club. She won the starring role of Dorothy at her school's performance of The Wizard of Oz. Bell attended The Tisch School of the Arts in New York City, where she studied Musical Theatre at the Tisch School of the Arts in New York City. Bell dropped out of studying in the year 2001 and began playing Becky the character of Tom Sawyer. The is the year she had her first credit debut as Pootie Tang. Pootie Tang (2001), however her character was deleted and her appearance exists only in the credit sequence. Bell made an appearance alongside Angela Bettis, Liam Neeson as well as in the Broadway show The Crucible in 2002.
