Leona LaurenLeona Louise Lewis was born 3 April 1985, is an actor as well as a singer and activist from Britain. She was raised in London Borough of Islington and took classes at the Croydon's BRIT School for Performing Arts and Technology. Lewis has been able to garner national attention when she won The X factor's third season in the year 2006. Also, she was awarded a PS1 million recording contract with Syco Music. The song she was awarded and was a cover Kelly Clarkson's song "A Moment like This" which was downloaded by 50,000 people within 30 minutes, and hit the top position for 4 weeks. Clive Davis's label J Records, signed Lewis to a contract for five albums within the United States. Lewis maintained her popularity with Spirit the first studio album. It reached platinum status 10x accredited in the UK. It became the fourth album to be sold in the 2000, and it was also among the most-sold UK albums. It is reported by the Official Charts Company claims that Spirit was the best-selling 21st century album for a debut female. The album's lead track, "Bleeding Love", was a seven-week standout at number 1 in the UK and was the most-sold single in 2007. In the US this was the most-seller single of 2008 and Lewis was named Best New Artist by Billboard in the same year. She released Echo in 2009 and created "I I See You" to be the film's theme song. In 2011, Lewis released the single "Collide" in collaboration with Swedish DJ Avicii along with her first extended show, Hurt: The EP. Her third studio album, Glassheart (2012), brought a brand new direction to her music for Lewis who draws in dubstep as well as electronic music. She began to record material for her Christmas debut album in the course of her Glassheart Tour, which took to the stage in the mid-2013 timeframe. Later that year, Christmas with Love featuring the title track "One more night" it reached the top three spot in the UK. Lewis is one of the few British female solo artist was the first artist to make it into the top of the list with eight singles. The record is higher than Olivia Newton John's record which contained seven songs.
